We know that servicing your appliance can be daunting and sometimes older appliances can cost money in terms of parts and repairs. We've compiled some useful information below to help you understand whats involved when we attend a service appointment.
On average our appointments take around 90 minutes to complete. During this time you will normally not be able to use your heating or hot water if you have a combination boiler. Occasionally when repairs are required we may need to drain down your heating system to replace parts which can increase this time.
We'll need access to the boiler, including the removal of the front and / or top cover. Depending on the location of your boiler this may require you to move things out of the way to enable us to access the key components of the system. During the service we'll also check your oil tank and feed line for leaks and damage which may require rectification.
We normally need around 14 days notice for a new service booking, although we always advise booking these in advance particularly during the winter season when our call out volumes are significantly higher.
